Appointed to the role of Executive Director, a position formerly held by the Hon. Tony Abbott MP, Jai has been involved with Australians for Constitutional Monarchy since A since 2005. Jai holds strong views on maintaining Australia's current constitutional arrangements and is a strong advocate for the Australian Crown.

In early 2007 a team consisting of Prof. David Flint AM, Jai Martinkovits, Edward Copeman and Thomas Flynn was formed. Consolidating a vast array of materials, the team undertook the development of a key educational resource dubbed "The Crowned Republic".

Australia's 25th Prime Minister the Hon. John Howard AC, former High Court Justice the Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG, former NSW Court of Appeal Justice Ken Kandley AO and the Hon. Tony Abbott MP all use the term "Crowned Republic" in describing our Federal Commonwealth under the Crown, arguing we are already a republic...a Crowned Republic...yet another republican' argument is diffused.

Jai regularly acts as Master of Ceremonies at major functions including an event commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the 1999 Republic Referendum, at which the Hon. John Howard AC delivered the keynote address. The noted broadcaster Mr Alan Jones AO also spoke at this televised event. More recently Jai MC'd a major event which was addressed by the Governor-General, Ms. Quentin Bryce AC.

Having appeared regularly in the television, radio and print media, Jai's opinion is often sough on a variety of matters.
